I got WebCam Go ES to work finally !
I am using Vista B2 Ultimate and I downloaded the NVidia 7800 Go driver through the Windows Downloads but it keeps blue screening my computer when accessing any program that touches direct3D, Screen Savers, Media Player, extra. It got so bad that I had to go back to XP. I am running a Dell 9400.

Perhaps the only reason to go to the 7800 GS would be for 3D support as Nvidia has built in 3D into their drivers for HMD's. I know there is a linux driver out there but how would I go about downloading it from command line? IME you either need to (initially) set the driver to "vesa" and/or set the default display depth to "24", since for some reason certain card/driver combos just don't like 16bit display settings.

So, I had to go all the way through the patches to 3.12, and use HAM drivers. I also had to ditch the 2930 (The Adaptec box says 2930, the BIOS reports 2930CU, what, no one told marketing? There are several 2930 models.). I happened to have a 29160 laying around. The HAM driver for the 2930 (7800 Fam Mgr 3.02.x)
